The above numbers are calculated for a driving distance of 12km to go and another 12km to return from work. Also we presume that we can group 3 people in the same car which is the avergage matching rate that we have. In cost of ride we use an average car using gas with consumption of 6 liters per 100km and gas price of 1.8€ per litre. Also we add in the cost of ride the maintance cost of the vehicle which is used in our Cost calculation algorithm in our app. Finally, for CO2 emissions we use the formula of 108g CO2/km and to calculate the trees we use the fact that 1 tree per year absorbs 21kg of CO2.
